Happy Jan’s Ice Cream

I never leave Google reviews, but after going to Happy Jan’s over the weekend, I had to share how great our experience was. Bottom line: 10/10 experience, the whole family was thrilled. I would recommend this place to anyone!! Quite a few members of our family have Celiac with cross-contamination issues, so it can be difficult to find places with safe options for everyone. I was so impressed with how intentional and careful Happy Jan’s staff are in ensuring no cross-contamination, and how many great options they have for people with gluten sensitivities. They even have gluten-free ice cream cones! Between all of the different hard serve flavor options, soft serve, slushies, and “twisters,” everyone was able to find something without having to compromise food safety or flavor. If you like coffee ice cream, you MUST try Happy Jan’s! They make their ice cream using beans from the Slacktide coffee shop next door — you just can’t find coffee ice cream like that anywhere else. The next time you’re looking for ice cream on the South Shore, do yourself a favor and try Happy Jan’s!

Great new ice cream spot! Extremely professional and friendly. They are allergy friendly and super knowledgeable regarding gluten free do’s and don’ts, especially concerning cross contamination for us celiacs!
