Harris Teeter

Today was going to be a a Grilled Cheese and Soup kind of day. Rain was in the forecast for most of the day. Clean store. Well stocked shelves. Pleasant Associates. I searched online for a store that had this particular soup. Harris Teeter was the only store that had Cole's Chesapeake Cream of Crab Soup. It has no MSG and it's Gluten Free. It's not just any brand of soup. Nor is it the price of Progresso or Campbell's. Nonetheless, great soup to have with a Sourdough Grilled Cheese sandwich.

Wonderfully friendly staff, good selection of products, even though it is being reorganised and inventory is being moved around (June 10). Store is being renovated and expanded to almost twice its size. Fantastic fresh produce section. Almost everyone there was wearing masks and practicing social distancing. I'll be back! Update in December 2021 - still a very good store, and they are competing with a brand new grocery across the street, which I'm sure is keeping them on their toes--shop the specials, check out the produce, and enjoy the pretty wide assortment of international and gluten-free choices. Love the choices in the wine and beer section, too--usually a good bargain to be had on a couple of favorites! Still being Covid-safe, which I really appreciate.
