Lovely venue in the pretty, converted Lilydale church. Food was tasty to eat and pretty to look at. Service was quick- we all had our meals within 10 minutes of ordering, although our flavoured hot chocolates were only luke warm. All coffees were hot. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Lots of nice touches to admire, from the decorative, pink floral entrance to the woollen blanket/shawls I noticed on the backs of some chairs.
Our seating area was a bit chilly since we kept getting icy wind from the door blowing on our backs- but now we know the layout, we will request different seating next time! Staff seemed very accommodating despite a constant stream of diners arriving and meals quickly were exiting the kitchen. Food is priced a bit above average but food reflects a high standard of quality. Lots of options for vegans and gluten free eaters.
It's a deceptively large venue, broken into a few sections that can service a large crowd.... fireplace eating, main floral dining room, cute shop area, a function room, children's play area, casual seating area for drinks/ cake and upstairs areas. Each area is individually styled within the carefully united rustic theme. Lots of parking onsite and in surrounding streets.
