In 2012, Carlson opened Harvest Community Foods - a local foods grocer and ramen bar that focuses on transparency and sustainability. Andrea Carlson came on board as a consultant at a new local grocer, the idea for which had been crowd-sourced, as had the name. Just a few months later the consultant became the owner of Harvest Community Foods. The grocer became more than just a retail store operation. They threw in a simple menu of ramen and udon options, most around 12 bucks. Before you know it, they stuck oil, and it drew a crowd. I came here for a walk with my friend. The store front doesn't look anything special, but once you walk in, there's alot of charm, and alot of products. From grab and go items, in house kombucha, vegan puddings, non gmo items, and gluten free deserts like living lotus. We ordered 29, the butternut squash miso ramen. It was indeed good. Then 39 came, the pork with candied bacon ramen... The flavours were everywhere. Yes it did taste good but don't be expecting a true Japanese style ramen. This is not the place for it. Harvest gave it their own twist, and nothing is wrong with that because it was still tasty and comforting. The vegan caramel pudding was omg so good. I could eat it for days! Service is still 100% fantastic. Our server was kind enough to grab a table and 2 chairs for the both of us, since my dog was crying outside tied to a parking meter. Overall, I love their retail grocery store. I would love to spend more time here again and try other items!

Such amazing food with a couple gluten free options. I love #31, a noodle dish with a spicy nut sauce. Get the extra greens.
