R
Ward was the best server to have, he can explain every single detail of every single dish. He is very welcoming, the food was amazing and 90% of the menu is gluten free!! The best steak i’ve ever had.

Havana Beach Bar and Grill has a killer location—right on the corner of the western green and steps from the Gulf at the Pearl Hotel. You really can’t beat the view and vibe; it’s absolutely stunning. Service started off strong. Our group of six had a great spot, and the acoustics worked really well for our group size, making conversation easy even with a larger table. The drinks were decent overall. My rye Manhattan was just okay—not bad, but nothing I’d rave about. I switched to straight rye bourbon after that because, well, it’s hard to mess up pouring straight whiskey. As for the food, my $60 ribeye was a big disappointment—it was so fatty that I would’ve thrown it out if I had cooked it at home. Definitely not worth the price. However, my friends really enjoyed their meals, which included oysters, pasta, grouper, salads, and crab cakes. So, it seems like it can be hit or miss depending on what you order. One thing that left a sour note was when we ordered additional drinks from a different waiter later in the evening. They didn’t remind us that the 20% gratuity was already included for our group size. It felt a little shady, like they were hoping we wouldn’t notice and leave extra. Not cool. **Ratings:** - **Service:** 3.5/5 – Solid at first, but the tip situation left a bad taste. - **Food:** 3/5 – My ribeye was a letdown, but my friends really enjoyed their dishes. - **Location:** 5/5 – The spot is absolutely gorgeous. Overall, Havana Beach has an amazing atmosphere, but for the price, they need to step up their food and drinks. ************************************************* My wife and I recently returned for dinner (just the two of us) and had an even better experience. We sat by the window overlooking the western green and the Gulf of Mexico—absolutely stunning. The service was again top-notch; they accommodated my celiac disease perfectly and helped my wife choose two meal-appropriate wines. Despite my earlier concerns, I stuck to my usual order and was pleasantly surprised. My wife tried the ribs on the waiter’s recommendation and really enjoyed them. All in all, the food, service, and atmosphere made for a memorable evening, and I’m even thinking of stopping by for breakfast soon.
