Hawthorne's New York Pizza and Bar Mint Hill

We thoroughly enjoyed the food. They offer a wide variety of gluten-free options. While the Sicilian Style pizza wasn't gluten-free, it was delicious and we highly enjoyed it; the waitress was excellent, and we had a wonderful time. We will certainly return.

Half of the appetizers came out with the food. The server assured us that they could accommodate gluten free but they dropped the ball on that. They used too much oil on the pasta dishes. If the wings are drowned in sauce, they're bearable. If they're naked, then you see how bad the wings actually are. The server didn't circle back after the food was delivered until everyone was finished, so drinks were empty and she seemed taken aback when we ordered drinks. If you're looking for pizza and beer, this place will do. Anything beyond that is beyond them.
