Heavy's Bar B Que

I have celiac’s disease and have to eat gluten free. I love this place because I can eat the brisket Frito pie, cream corn and beans along with all the meat without ever having a problem. Everyone is friendly and the service is fast. It’s a definite go to!

There are not a lot of choices in Hondo, but Heavy's is someplace I would choose out of a big selection! All the food (except condiments) is made by hand, meat smoked out back, SOOO tasty! The simplicity of preparation is appreciated. All the meats, the beans, and the potato salad (delicious!) are Gluten Free! Prices are comparable with other "BBQ Joints", and the food is well worth it. Refills on tea and lemonade (and water), cans/bottles of various sodas and such for sale as well. My only regret is that it took us so long to try it out once we moved here!
