Henry's Louisiana Grill

I’ve eaten here before and it was a much better experience. We always check for a gluten free menu as my husband has celiac. Henry’s has a very extensive gf menu online. I called and confirmed it was still valid. What I didn’t think to ask, and no one told me, is that it isn’t available on Sundays as they will only serve from their brunch menu. It was my birthday and we were meeting 6 of my family so we stayed but my husband only had ice tea and the whole thing was awkward. I’d love to say my meal was awesome, but it was over seasoned and overcooked (I had the lobster special) and I have never left lobster on my plate and never thought I would. My sisters’ all said the grits were bland (supposed to be spicy) but were edible with the addition of butter and salt. I told them it was my birthday, and ordered the bread pudding but they didn’t bring it out with a candle so my family could sing happy birthday to me. Altogether a disappointment.

Love this place and they even have some great GF options for my wife who has celiac.

This was not just a dinner. This was an amazing dining experience. I have not had food this good since I was in New Orleans over 20 years ago. The chef has a gluten-free menu for those who need it. The service was cool and very helpful. Get a reservation. Otherwise, you will be waiting, but it's worth it.
