Fantastic birthday lunch today. There was loads of gluten free options for me. I had one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Oh had the fish special which he really enjoyed. We chose the cheese board and they made great little crostini slices for me out of gluten free bread, which was a nice treat, compared to the rubbish gf alternative you usually get. Definitely will be going back. Ollie & his team were fantastic and very welcoming. Even the dog was welcome.

Oh. My. Word! My brother and his wife told us about this place, so we decided to take them there for a nice dinner. I cannot say enough about how amazing this meal was! First of all, on Monday nights, they have a deal where you can get a main course plus a starter for 19 GBP, or 23 GBP for a starter, main course and dessert. It's a tiny bit more limited than the main menu, but not much. Even without that, the prices are great (I think the most expensive item I saw was about 24 GBP). We got the soup of the day (leek and potato with a hunk of crusty bread) and it was delicious. We also got the mushroom and garlic cream over toast and YUM! We got a burger, a lamb burger, fish and chips, and the braised beef stew. Plus, they do special orders for people with specific dietary needs. My sister-in-law has celiacs disease, and they made a beautiful meal for her. We had a red velvet brownie with white chocolate ice cream, and a delicious key lime cheesecake for dessert, as well as a few affogatto's (sp?). The service was wonderful, the restaurant was beautiful, and so was the surrounding area. We are here on vacation from America, but when we get this way again, we will DEFINITELY be eating here again. Thank you for a fabulous meal and a fabulous experience.
