Let me start off by saying I have always loved this place. My husband and I got engaged there, we had our rehearsal dinner there.
Within the last year, I went gluten free for health issues and it wasn't until tonight that I have had issues.
I received the wrong order, I asked for "gluten free shrimp and soba noodles". We got the wrong thing, which is no big deal, it happens so I called back up there and tried to talk to the man that originally helped us. He told me repeatedly, "we don't have that and never had it", well that's not true since I've eaten there so many times. I tried telling him that and he said "I don't know who told you that", again I wasn't told. I ate it there.
My husband ended up going back up there tonight and giving them the food back and the same man proceeded to argue with us and said "we have never had that", when the woman next to him told him in english and Japanese or Chinese - I'm not sure - that she knows exactly what we are talking about. He waved her odf and just kept saying "no". Then he says, "so what do you want? Do you want food or refund or what?"
I love the food, and this place is obviously important to us, which is why we will continue to go there but that was probably the worst customer service I've experienced ever. We will just simply ask for someone else next time we go in there.
