This place was our saving grace for last weekend after we were seated and then ignored for twenty minutes at Frothy Rooster. On a lark we decided to come to Hickory Social House for brunch, because we'd been looking forward to having it and would be so disappointed to have to call it off because of bad service somewhere. The live music was amazing, like genuinely good, not just decent for a bar. Amazing food, incredible service, attentive and friendly staff that all seemed to enjoy what they were doing. We kept raving about the food as we ate, and the temperature was kept nice inside, not too hot or cold, which is impressive in this weather and with rushes of people entering. We immediately decided to come again for Thursday specials and returned for dinner. It was just as incredible as the first time! We're lucky this place is 40 minutes away or else we'd go bankrupt dropping in at every given opportunity. Everything was wonderfully flavourful and fresh, cooked perfectly, and generously seasoned. We got beignets for dessert and they took a bit to come out but we honestly didn't even notice because we were enjoying the ambience, and then they came out and said it would be comped entirely for the wait. They were the best I've ever had. They also have a really impressive after-9 menu for the drinking crowd. Lots of gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options, too. As a vegetarian I didn't feel at all limited by the offerings.

There was a little confusion about which bun was gluten-free. We found a server who was not ours, but she was very attentive. Later found out her name is CC. She helped us beyond expectation. Saturday night was a fun atmosphere and by the end we felt like CC was a friend. Gave her a well-deserved good tip. Cheers.

Pizza with a weird name-wilburs night out I think- it's unique and so satisfying! I've had other pizza there and wood fired everything can't be beat, with a gluten free crust option. Bern there for breakfast abd that's the best chicken and waffles I've ever had.
