Visited Hickory’s for the first ever time today and I can safely say, we will definitely be back for more amazing BBQ goodness! There were four of us that went today and one of our party can now only eat gluten free food and it is not a problem here, they offer an amazing gluten free menu with plenty of choice on there unlike many other places. Staff are very, very friendly and helpful indeed. Saw to us straight away as soon as we walked in, seated us quickly and were really attentive throughout our visit there. The drinks menu is awesome! Some great choices of all kinds of drinks and I can recommend the milkshakes highly. Good selection of alcoholic drinks as well from draught beers to bottled and canned. The food, well, where do I start? It’s so, so, so good! Authentic BBQ style food is in abundance, everything from burgers, ribs, chicken and Mac and cheese to name but a few. Some of the food we had between us were the corn chips appetisers with pulled pork with frickles, a double hickory’s burger, the go big or go home burger, the half chicken with upgraded cheesy fries and the grilled platter for one. All were gorgeous, the burger I had was perfectly made and so moist and flavourful, it was amazing!! As stated, hickory’s offer a great gluten free menu which doesn’t seem to be the case at most places and the staff advise about the gluten free process as well, which helps put your mind at rest. I cannot recommend this place enough and I can guarantee that we will be back, multiple times as well I should imagine!!
