Hidalgo Authentic Mexican Restaurant

We have been going to Hildalgo for the past few years. I have celiac disease, so must be strictly gluten free. The care the staff and owner have for the safety of their gluten free customers is unmatched. I have been there at least 30 times and have never had the slightest issue. I am confident every time I order they will take precautions. Additionally, the waitstaff is some of the nicest most efficient staff in the industry. The food is delicious, fast, and affordable. My husband and I often play the "where should we go to eat" game, which is more limited due to my dietary requirements. Nine times out 10, even though we know we will have to drive the 25 minutes from Ypsi, we still pick this place. We honestly have considered moving to Belleville solely to be closer to this restaurant. Thank you to the owner and staff who really care about all their customers, but especially those of us who must be gluten free!

DEFINITELY A 5+++ Star Restaurant We originally heard about Hildalgo on Michigan Gluten Free Gal, but had not made the trip here before. WELL WORTH THE TRIP!!! Staff very knowledgeable! Food Is Excellent!! Choices many! HIGHLY RECOMMEND A MUST for those seeking Authentic Mexican food! We will DEFINITELY be making this trip more often!

My husband s a Celiac and that means a restriction on so many things. The dedicated gluten free fryer was our main reason for coming. He had chips and salsa for the first time in a long time. The burritos were tasty and the tacos yummy. Out server was awesome and even had some tips for a fellow Celiac.
