High Plains Barbecue

High recommend even safe for those that have Celiac. Owner has Celiac and is very careful not cross contaminating food. Only a few items I was unable to eat such as the bread and Mac and cheese.

We just went her and the food was delicious. Everything on the menu besides the mac and cheese , some of the breads and one of the sauces are gluten free as well- a must go place when in Wytheville- friendly owners and employees and a great atmosphere- have outside seating as well so yiu can bring your dog!

The trifecta! As a gluten allergic traveller with a dog, who also loves slow smoked bbq, what a find this restaurant is! Lovely rustic charm, lots of gluten free selections including cornbread and delicious savoury smoked and slow cooked bbq with multiple sauce options. Lovely friendly owners Bill and Sigrit makes this stop on a road trip very memorable. Don’t go to a chain restaurant!!! Will be back!
