Hispania Ashby

Hispania is a wonderful hidden gem in Ashby de la Zouch - fantastic Spanish food, lovely staff and brilliant service! As a coeliac I love eating here as I feel well looked after, with the majority (if not all) of the menu being gluten free. Dishes change regularly and the specials are always just that - special! I’m sure we will continue to come to this excellent restaurant for many years to come!

A real gem of a restaurant in Ashby. We went on a busy Friday night, but there was no delay or angsty wait staff. The attention to detail that goes into making your dining experience is excellent, from keeping your wine glass topped up, to ensuring we had everything we wanted. The food was tasty and cooked to perfection. We had a hard time finding anything to moan about, apart from wanting more but not having any room due to the generous portions. The menu is mostly gluten free, so as a coeliac, it was a relaxed night, I was able to sit back and trust that my food was safe. The staff have a good knowledge of allergies, and even wrote a menu/the dishes I could have, making it possible for us to share food (a rarity). One note, if you're looking for a quiet place to eat, go on a quiet night as the acoustics in the building make it pretty echoey - but it's worth it! Already planning to go back 😊
