Looking to expand your locally brewed experiences in Anchorage, Hive Mind Meadery is the place to go! As a first time mead drinker, I wasn’t sure what to expect and became an immediate convert to the melomel style, meaning brewed with fruit. Came here because a friend recommended it as a great spot, and had another friend with celiac in town (mead is gluten free). Tried Queen Bee, Admiral’s Cask, Admiral’s Reserve, POG Buzz, and Bee Gay, all were great! Admiral’s cask is reminiscent of maker’s mark.
