Sea Bird Cantina & Paesans Pizzeria

If you haven't tried Sea bird Cantina & Paesano Restaurant, on Route 6 in Wellfleet, you need to go, now! My husband had delicious, stuffed, shredded chicken tacos and I honestly had the best enchiladas I have ever had! The red sauce was sooo delicious! The best part it was Gluten Free! My server, Nate was amazing, as were all the happy, friendly staff! The place was so beautiful inside and reasonable! You will not be sorry! It was fantastic! Best cantina on the Cape, in my opinion! My family has a vacation home in Wellfleet - we have been there for over 20 years. We have watched a number of restaurants in this location come and go. It was never about the location - it’s right on route 6 with easy access and plenty of parking. The systemic problem was that the former locations never had the right concept. Then came Sea Bird Cantina and they nailed it. Wellfleet has a lot of upscale restaurants - Sea Bird is a very casual restaurant but the decor gives it a moderate upscale flair. On my first visit I brought my kids and their friends not knowing what the menu was and whether or not it was the right fit for their very picky diets. We sat in a large round table in the windows with a great view of the restaurant and the pizza oven. The kids were thrilled with the choices on the menu so it was all smiles and I was really excited as I am a huge Mexican food fan. The menu has depth- everything from the basics to very creative dishes. We started with the tricolored nachos and a side of pico de gallo. The chips were fresh and the salsa was very clean with just the right amount of zing to it. My daughter and her friends dove right into the “make any taco” option - it had something for everyone! The-menu also had a whole list of signature tacos that really looked fantastic! One of the girls had a gluten allergy and there was a plethora of options for her. My son had a The Classic Smash Burger - the size of the burger was spot on and it had plenty of options for toppings. I love wings, so I tried the Buffalo Wings - they were no short of excellent!! Very meaty and the sauce had the perfect tang to it. But it wouldn’t be a Mexican experience without a Margarita. I had a spicy but asked for it a little customized and they were happy to accommodate. The decor is very comfortable- it’s not your typical Mexican theme. It’s more sophisticated. See the pictures. The theme is very simple but classy -they definitely made an investment in the chairs and lighting fixtures - they add style to the room. I was enamored with the comfort of the room. The bar area is also very nice - it’s lively and has a great buzz to it - no pun intended:). I was fortunate to meet the owner who has an impressive resume in the restaurant business - everything from corporate to upscale to casual theme. He no doubt understands how to run a successful business. This place is an excellent choice in Wellfleet for couples, family and customers who like to dine at the bar. It has a great feel to it and the service is nothing short of excellent. This is top of the list for our family and we are so excited to check out more of the menu items. I did not try the pizza, but looking forward to that as well.

Seabirds was fantastic! As someone who struggles with gluten allergies and dairy allergies they had both GF options and vegan options! The food was incredible, service and attention to detail was excellent! Hopefully this stays a long time!
