Hold The Wheat Beaverton

Within 20 minutes there’s maybe 6 gluten free bakeries I visit, this one happens to be the closest one to my house. Some of the selections are pretty good. Coffee cake, pumpkin loaf, mini cakes, quiche. They have good coffee. The selection is limited and has too many sweet sugary pastry like things. I’d like to see a better selection and better prices. Of all the bakery’s they are the most expensive and not worthy of that title. I’d like to see some more traditional baked goods. Maybe a few cookie options, cinnamon rolls, muffins, cheesecake, layer cake, donuts. Different bread options.

This place is amazing! I eat dairy free and gluten free 95% of the time and am always excited to try gf & df treats. I have to say that Hold The Wheat is really some of (if not THE) most convincing/similar to “regular” (dairy and gluten-full) baked goods I’ve ever had. We got the marionberry pop tart, pumpkin bread w icing, mushroom foldover, and a sausage foldover. Everything was excellent but I especially loved the pumpkin bread- it was so moist and fluffy and tasted like it had gluten and dairy (so did the icing). Really impressive. The staff and owner were also super nice, and the interior is cute. I’ll definitely be back!! Wish they were in pdx proper!

Just went here for the first time today. Super cute bakery, friendly staff and oh my, the Marionberry pop tart is excellent. Soooo yummy and not too sweet! I highly recommend this gluten free bakery!!! 🩷
