Holiday Inn Guildford by IHG

Such helpful staff, the restaurant is fantastic, we get the best breakfasts and dinners. We are gluten free and its not problem at all. The location is great too, plus the pool!

Went for a spa night break. What a shocker. The spa was dirty and disorganised. The hotel wasn't much better. We had a room for 3 people booked but only one bed made up on arrival. Room only had tea facilities foe 2 people. The sofa bed was awful with many slats missing from it. Told reception about it and was told the obligatory "sorry about that". The restaurant and bar area have I believe, recently been done up and they were smart but staff seemed disorganised. We had one member of our party who was gluten free. Only one option on our select menu and this came at a 5 pound surplus, plus not actual gf mention on the menu and only because the person requiring gf knew what could and couldn't be eaten. The spa leaves a lot to be desired. The relaxation hut it a tent In the garden outside which means those people coming back in are traipsing mud all over the swimming pool steam room area. Yuck. The sauna was broken and no loungers available for the spa guests as all taken by the hotel guests. Whole spa area is very small and doesn't seem very professional. Hotel cleanliness left a lot to be desired. I'm afraid I wouldn't recommend or go to this hotel again. A great disappointment for the 3 of us.
