With a view that even the lake district would be proud of I looked forward to eating here, more so as it had quite a few gluten free meals advertised, I was disappointed. My first choice was chips and gluten free battered fish only to be informed that the fryer may be gluten contaminated, not really gluten free then. Dismissed my second choice due to the chips, had chicken and sautéed potatoes which was ok. I labour the point of gluten free but for the life of me I cannot see how or why anyone could claim to serve food that MAY be free but MAY not be. Finally the Eton mess advertised turned out to be Bakewell tart, little difference there.
