Honest Abe's - Downtown

Honest Abe’s Downtown is hands down one of the best burger spots in Lincoln. Their rotating burger specials are what keep me coming back—they’re always creative, always delicious, and sometimes a little outside the box in the best way possible. One of the biggest surprises for me? Peanut butter on a burger. I had never even considered it before, but after trying one of their specials that featured peanut butter, I was completely hooked. It added this amazing creamy texture and a slight sweetness that balanced perfectly with the savory beef and toppings. Now, I put peanut butter on every burger I make at home—it’s that good. On top of their incredible burgers, Honest Abe’s is also super accommodating. They offer vegan burger options and gluten-free buns, so everyone can enjoy an awesome meal here. Whether you’re adventurous with flavors or need something customized, they’ve got you covered. If you love burgers and want to try something different (and life-changing), this is the place to go!

Honest Abe’s has been a favorite of mine for many years, and I always have an enjoyable experience at any of their locations here. As someone with gluten & dairy allergies, it’s one of the few burger places I can go to where I can build a burger that works perfectly for me. Their cinnamon apple sweet tea in the fall is my favorite restaurant beverage, hands down. All of their sauces are unique and blend well together, and I enjoy the difference in how they season their fries. And the fact that I’m supporting a local business makes all the difference!
