It was a lovely sunny day when I visited, the blue sky and sunshine perfectly framing this beautiful and historic building.
The venue has some outside seating with a lovely view over the canal but we chose to sit inside on this occasion. The interior of the cafe is has a stunning decor and well lit. The walls have historical information about what the building has been used for over the years which is a lovely touch.
So onto the important stuff the food.
I have recently changed my diet to Gluten free due to a medical reason and was delighted to find that the cafe had a vast amount of gluten free and vegan options to chose from. The staff where very helpful also offering menu suggestions based on my medical condition.
I went for the gluten free BLT Bap (which came with salad and crisps) costing just over £7 and a latte.
It did take some time to get our order I was 3 quarters of the way through my latte before the food arrived (hence not a full 5 star review), but it was worth the wait. No skimping at all on the sandwich filling and the bacon was thick sliced and cooked to perfection.
Everything tasted fresh and was delicious.
The cake and ice cream Sunday’s that where being taken to other patrons looked amazing and I will definitely be going back again to give them a try.
Overall I would highly recommend this cafe for it beautiful location, helpful service and delicious tasting food.
