Hoochee’s River Basket

We decided to check this place out after being given raving reviews from a couple locals. We are so glad we made time before heading home to try it out. I truly enjoyed the Buddha Burger. My son "helped" me eat it. Although, he would've eaten it all if I let him. He said out of 5 stars, he rated the burger a 6! My other son enjoyed the sloppy Joe as well. My hubby ordered the Bodega burger. For gluten free option, you can order your burger as a lettuce wrap instead. We all enjoyed all our menu choices. Wrt seating, the inside seating is limited, but there are some outdoor seating available. The ladies working there were friendly. The smiles were refreshing. Also, I heard their breakfast is amazing too. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to check that out this time, but there's something to look forward to next time we visit Unicoi State Park. Thank you!

I had seen this place was open but hadn't had a chance to stop. The Helen Balloon Fest was a good excuse for breakfast. Kiddo (biscuit and sausage separate) says they should have jelly and syrup packets for kids who don't like "breakfast cheeseburgers." I am gluten intolerant so the sausage cheese biscuit (predictably) kept me full all morning until after 1 when we managed to get lunch. We can say breakfast was good. We saved a brownie for dessert today. I do want to try lunch one day!
