We really enjoyed our lunch at Hook - we tried the fixed price lunch menu and everything was delicious. The service was truly excellent - couldn’t fault anything about it at all. It was very quiet in there for a Saturday lunchtime, but that wasn’t a massive issue, as the decor makes it feel cosy and intimate even when there aren’t many people in there. My only comment would be they perhaps ought to try to make the menu sound more appealing. When I looked at the menu online before we went, I thought it looked really uninspiring, and lacked detail on what the dishes actually contained. I think it would appeal to people more if a bit of detail was provided to really sell the dishes. I’m very glad we gave the new menu a chance and we will be back! It was particularly good for gluten free options - I was able to eat almost anything on the menu, as they had tweaks they could make to most of the dishes, which was so nice to see. Thanks to the staff for a great experience yesterday 😊

Try the Philli roll - salmon with cream cheese. And they have gluten free soy sauce too, just ask!
