We visited the restaurant of this beautifully situated hotel as part of a spontaneous trip. Even without a reservation, we were assigned a nice table on Sunday evening.
We were greeted very warmly at reception.
At the table, the service was topped off several times with professional, yet unobtrusive friendliness and attentiveness. I've never experienced such flexible responses to intolerances, but also such advance attention to the bread and dip. I was served gluten- and lactose-free products. Even the espresso was served without a biscuit, knowing that it was served.
The staff was consistently very qualified and exceptionally friendly. Guests are treated with respect. Special thanks went to Sarah Meier that evening.
The menu offered a wide selection. Only the layout took some getting used to. The allergen information was in the middle, so you had to constantly flip back and forth.
The ambiance and interior of the restaurant were very harmonious and cozy.
If we ever return to Schleswig, we'd gladly return to Strandleben as a guest.
