I have visited House of Embers a handful of times when visiting the Dells. It's a classic, Midwest supper club with all the supper club vibes. I've visited in the winter and summer months - in the warmer months, they open the doors and patio seating which is nice. We were able to make a reservation ahead of time because we had a larger party. We were accommodated with ease. The only downside to our seating arrangement was that they put three circle tables together for 10 people, as you can imagine the seating was a bit awkward for some couples.
The menu is quite standard for most supper clubs - everything from shrimp cocktail to prime rib. I do believe they have a gluten free menu available upon request, or items can be made custom. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip and bruschetta. Both were tastefully done dishes. Our group ordered a variety of dishes and there was no complaining. I ordered the walleye, and it was cooked great. The fish flaked perfectly and was seasoned lightly. I don't think you can go wrong ordering from a classic supper club like House of Embers. No one in our group made a fuss over their meal. Only full bellies and satisfied faces at the end of our meal.
With our group of 10, the waitress did quite well. She was attentive and friendly and offered good suggestions when asked. House of Embers would be a restaurant that I would recommend for families, friends and couples. Though I will add, the supper club does provide a more romantic vibe.
