Overall, I think this is a really good shop, they have a great tasting gluten free bagel.
My negative review is mostly based off of my last interaction this morning. I bought half a dozen gluten free bagels and asked for one to be toasted with cream cheese. I knew within 2 bites that it was not gluten free and I went back after no one answered the phone to confirm it was in fact a regular bagel. The cashier was very apologetic and I understand mistakes happen, but the supervisor or manager (I’m not sure what she is but the cashier turned to her) seemed more focused on defending why she prepared 1/6 gluten free bagels with a non-gluten free bagel.
The supervisor simply said “I hope you don’t get a bad reaction” and replaced the bagel with an untoasted gluten free one. No effort was made to replace the other 5 gluten free bagels that were cross contaminated in the same bag or to even refund my money for being given a harmful product. I’ve been sick all day and have had to visit my doctor because of this one “miscommunication.” I’m honestly not sure if I’ll return if this is how allergies are treated.
