Hummingbird

Service and food are always top tier here. Took a group of folks here around new years and they still talk about it - hummingbird has become their fav restaurant in raleigh. They have good gluten free options too. I’ve had huevos rancheros, the salmon gravlax, and the fish sandwich. Their potatoes also come with the most amazing sauce, it’s worth ordering on the side.

I had brunch at Hummingbird with my mom and sister this weekend, and it was fabulous. They have so many fun cocktails. We stayed classic with Aperol Spritz, but I definitely wouldn’t mind trying some of the other stuff on the menu. What I really want to commend is the service. I have celiac disease, so eating out can be stressful. While they don’t have tons of GF options, there are some and they will explain the menu items that are safe if you chat with your server! One of the employees, Erin, even came up to my table to confirm that I could not have any cross contact with gluten and provided the option to cook my toastada for the huevos rancheros in a pan rather than the fryer that contained gluten items. I so appreciate this attention to detail when I eat out! Food was awesome, drinks were delicious, and service was excellent.
