This place is amazing. I had given up on finding really delicious authentic Szechuan food in Oregon. I live in Bend, and we travel a lot. I saw Madras had this place, and decided to give it a shot. One of my favorite dishes is Singapore street noodles, and it wasn’t on their menu. Reading the menu on line, I noticed they had yellow curry dishes. They also would substitute stir fried noodles, for white rice. I also saw they had gluten free options, so I thought if I got rice noodles, it would be similar to the Singapore street style. When my husband ordered the chicken curry and asked about rice noodles, the man working there asked if he wanted Singapore style with the rice noodles stir fried with the chicken curry! We were so excited. We also ordered the Szechuan chicken. When we got our food we were so happy. The Singapore Street noodles, were some of the best I’ve had, and reminded me of when I lived on the East Coast. They were perfectly spiced, and the curry was divine. The Szechuan chicken was loaded with the freshest vegetables. The green beans were crisp, the zucchini sliced thin, and the fresh ginger gave it just enough zing. The Szechuan sauce was delicious. You could tell everything was homemade using the freshest best ingredients. The owners take pride in their place, and it shows. We will be making trips to Madras from Bend, just to get more of this amazing authentic food.
