Look, it's a nice place with decent food. It's an up market pub dining area which what we sought after. Family catch up, we brought our two year old. Any family understands sometimes your kid doesn't want to play dinner party and is difficult. Being conscientious guests, instead of having our child be a burden to the other 50 guests having dinner we made do, walking her around, keeping her occupied- a kind waitress opened the outside dining area for us so she could run around; really appreciated. During dinner, she noticed my cocktail had a straw, she wanted to drink her water with a straw. No worries, my long Island iced tea was in a huge glass, so we needed another one so she could peacefully drink her water with a straw and be happy, keeping the other diners to be able to dine in peace. Asked for a PAPER straw. Probably a cost of 0.02 cents per item. Bartender said yeh nah it's for cocktails only. Are you fking joking mate? Literally refused to give me a paper straw. Okay, no worries. I'll rip my long Island strong as tea straw in half so she can drink her drink in peace for 15 minutes, keeping your other guests happy. Seriously, get a grip. We spent $450 that night and literally got told we couldn't have a straw. If you, on the off chance read this review, don't come here if you have kids. It's not the right venue. Go else where. The "fresh caught" yellowfin was questionable, 90% sure it was frozen. On a better note, there are lots of gluten free options. Nonetheless, because the venues no straw policy for non-cocktails, we wont be back. Pull your heads in, understand the dynamic of your customers.
