Hurricane Grill & Wings-Niceville

The food was mediocre at best, but at the prices it is to be expected. We ordered caso and chips and somehow that translated to 2 chip and salsa platters with caso. We assumed that was how they did the caso. We also ordered my wifes burger on the gluten free bun with no onion ring. That translated to no toppings on the burger at all. We finished and got our check, which was over 90 bucks for 3 basic meals and a kids meal. Come to find out the salsa and guacamole they brought out was another 6 dollars each. We never ordered them individually, but because we ate it we paid, because I guess we live and learn sometimes. This was quite a disap disappointing experience and I would highly recommend anywhere I have been in the niceville area over this. Caso covered everything seems to be their specialty, but it definitely has not been profected by no means.

Consistently subpar. I visited on a Sunday evening craving a cheeseburger. I am gluten-free (by choice) so, knowing there is a gf bun, I decided on this location. My burger arrived and was NOT on a gf bun as I had requested. When I asked my server, she snatched it off the table. Meanwhile, I had my debit card ready and a random employee grabbed it and disappeared with it. A few minutes later, my server returned the SAME burger on the originally requested gf bun. Safe food handling is (or should) be FIRST AND FOREMOST! For anyone with food allergies, be aware that this is not a basic knowledge for this staff. I took the time to explain to my server that I'm not allergic, but for someone who is, this could mean disaster! She responded with a blank stare and said something to the effect of "they melted a new piece of cheese"????? Wait. What? Even the servers aren't aware of safe food handling procedures. Additionally, the gf bun was still half frozen when it was returned to me. Sad. I've been to this place a handful of times. All around, consistently a let down every time. I hope management gets serious about training the entire staff. As a matter of fact, it is required by law to be certified to safely handle food. I don't review too many places but this place is lucky they haven't gotten someone seriously ill! I've worked in food service for 25 years and obviously take for granted the safety measures I believed were common knowledge.
