IHOP

highly recommend avoiding this IHOP if you are interested in the gluten free menu. I only called to ask if they have the gluten free pancakes (sometomes they are out of the mix)... the woman says "they have a little bit of gluten in them".... HUH? are you talking about cross contamination? no, that's not what I'm asking. she then gets a manager, I said to him "I don't know why this is escalating I simply called to ask if you have the gluten free pancakes" .... he abruptly says NO. no further explanation, nothing. translation- they can't be bothered with your allergies and probably hate that IHOP even offers this option, so I would never trust them when ordering from the gluten free menu.

FIVE Stars for Ihop! Yesterday, I took my uncle to breakfast on the way to his doctor's appointment at Rancho Mirage. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the pristine cleanliness of the restaurant, including the bathroom, which was a refreshing sight. We have an IHOP in San Diego we go to often, but it's less clean than this one. The host warmly greeted us and promptly led us to our table. Our server was quick to attend to us, taking our drink orders and food preferences with a smile. I was very impressed with how fast the food came out; they seemed busy. The food was great. I love the gluten-friendly waffles and vegan sausage patties, and I greatly appreciate the fantastic service.
