We spontaneously stopped by here today for lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. What friendly staff and how well they had everything in order. We were served quickly and well. One of us had to eat gluten-free and this was also very well arranged. Sandwiches, poffertjes and carrot cake, it was difficult to choose, they were all so delicious. Great and highly recommended!
Tip: a gluten-free cookie with coffee also completes it!

It's nice that there is a terrace in Clingendael. They do know that there is a monopoly position. The food and drinks are pricey and the service slow and not really friendly. What they serve is excellent and it's nice that it is vegetarian and gluten-free. It is not normal to be charged 1 euro for a visit to the toilet, even with a hefty bill. There is no alternative so it is always busy.
