Our dining experience here was absolutely sensational from the moment we walked in. All of the staff were attentive and so kind, they were happy to help and were so very welcoming. We booked for our anniversary, when we walked in and confirmed our booking they instantly wished us a happy anniversary and sat us down at the table with a lovely card wishing us the same. We had dined earlier in the day for lunch at another place and also mentioned on our booking it was our anniversary and it didn’t get a mention, their attention to detail at Ippin was impeccable and unexpected. They were quick to take our drinks and even quicker to bring them out to us, our water was topped up almost after each sip! It felt like we were the only table there but it was a very busy night. We ordered 3 rounds of salmon nigiri, chicken skewers, pork skewers, Wagyu tataki, chicken karrage and finished off the night with a matcha tiramisu. Everything was divine. They accidentally brought us out some mushroom skewers in place of the chicken skewers as it was misheard when we ordered, they let us keep them on the house and were very apologetic, bringing out our chicken skewers fresh almost instantaneously. Our desert was delicious, they even brought it out with a candle and a small chocolate panel that wished us happy anniversary in gold. We paired cocktails with our dinner, we had a yuzu whisky sour, matcha sour and the ichigo foam. All of them were delicious, so good that we had to order a second round of the ichigo foams!! I am gluten free and they were very attentive to this requirement and all staff were on top of it even if they were not the one waiting our table for the night. The pricing is very reasonable, we most certainly could have kept the price down if we didn’t order so many cocktails but they were too good to resist! Couldn’t have had a better experience, we were more than happy to tip the team without hesitation.
