IPPUDO San Francisco

Very good food, but the service was not very attentive when we needed something like water. A lot of hand waving. Also no non-alcoholic beer offered so you'll have to stick with water or soda and only three rice options for gluten-free.

Visited on a short trip to San Francisco. Now I wish the trip had been longer. I would have liked to have eaten there several more times. Interesting decor, varied menu with a nice selection of Japanese beers and sake. I had the season special which required dipping cool noodles in a broth to heat them. They were great, thick, just the right amount of chewy. A google search indicated they they had gluten free noodles and vegan broth. The post was old. They no longer do that. Made it difficult for my girlfriend who's vegan and gluten intolerant. However they did have plates that met her needs. I'm far from an expert on ramen, but this was the best ramen I've had outside of Japan. When, and if I return to San Francisco, it will visit again, several times!
