Il Fienile Ristorante

On a holiday trip to Salento, looking for a high-quality restaurant but with attention to gluten-free, we found the Fienile, in Galatina. A very pleasant surprise. Set in the historic center of the city, overlooking the splendid Basilica of Santa Caterina, the Fienile offers traditional dishes, excellently mixed with contemporary cuisine, combining aesthetics and taste. The dishes chosen were all of a high standard, the freshness of the raw materials and the balanced taste of the combinations were particularly appreciated. Excellent attention to gluten free, with the menu almost entirely convertible and the staff very attentive and precise in recommending the ideal solution.

We had dinner at Fienile about a month ago. We were guests with a friend on holiday in Salento and we chose the restaurant sure that he would discover a very characteristic place in our area. Unfortunately among us there was a celiac and lactose intolerant person who had specified both his wishes and his food limits to the dining room staff. Despite the careful selection when ordering, we found ourselves faced with a dish sprinkled with mature cheese, of course, but it was still cheese. At that point it was not returned to the kitchen but it was eaten anyway, reassured by the kind lady who kindly served it to us (we also chose to eat in company). Unfortunately, a bad decision was made which resulted in many negative consequences. We are very sorry for what happened. The only discordant note which however caused significant damage
