The service was absolutely appalling . The waitress who served us was rude, arrogant and unhelpful, particularly with advice regarding gluten free options (my wife has celiac disease). Within a couple of minutes of finishing the starter, the main course was served. There was a complete lack of respect for us, customer care and common sense, in the context of giving us some time to digest the starter and the chance to have a drink. I should have realised from the beginning that this restaurant was not a good choice when I observed the cooks not wearing hair nets in the kitchen. That’s evidently poor hygiene practice. It felt like: get them in, serve mediocre food, and get them out as quickly as possible. Because of the shoddy service we refrained from having dessert and left. It was the first time having a meal in that restaurant. It will certainly be the last. Avoid this restaurant. Absolutely appalling experience

Visited as part of canal boat holiday. Beautiful setting, lovely staff and great food thanks to the amazing chefs. Catered very well For coeliac. Many thanks to everyone back and front of house xx
