Il Mattarello di Andrea

I first ate at this place last year whist on holiday and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. So much so that when I returned this year with my Mum I was sure to book in a few lunches. Their service is impeccable, warm and friendly which makes all the difference. I’m coeliac and they are well informed about food and practices that are coeliac safe which is really important to me. Not only that but the food is DELICIOUS! I’ve had their pasta with seafood each time I’ve eaten there and it does not disappoint. My Italian Mum had the ‘normal’ version instead of the gluten free version and she loved it too… And she really knows Italian food! The gelato was also soooo good and I’m a bit of a gelato snob 😋 I only wish I was a local so that I could visit regularly. Instead I live in Melbourne where we have great food, but not all pasta with seafood is made equal. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more highly. Do yourself a favour and give this place a go! This Italian Restaurant looks and tastes and feels like you're in a village in Italy! Andrea and his team are so friendly and Welcoming. Nothing too hard. The food and the flavours are outstanding. I'm a Celiac and I'm Protein Milk intolerant and the Pizza and Pasta were unbelievable. Magnificent selection of Italian Wines. You won't be disappointed.
