Illume Cafe Bakery

Illume Café Bakery is amazing! We’ve tried the MFC burger, tofu scramble, schnitzel-style sandwich, yum drinks, and even a puppacino & biscuits for our dog — all fantastic. Just had our first delivery and the be’ef burger and Black Forest waffles were perfect. They even surprised us with key lime pie! Love the plant-based menu, gluten-free options, and how kind they are to our pup. I wish I had photos to share, but it always looks so good we eat it straight away. What a wonderful find Illume Café was on our recent trip to Melbourne. The food was delicious and the service warm and friendly, so much so we went back the next day to try something different from the menu and to grab a selection of their yummy little cakes to take to a family gathering. I have coeliac disease and am also dairy intolerant which can be tricky eating out when travelling but I was able to enjoy some really yummy brunches here. The coffee was also great. Such a relaxed and calming environment ( even when it got quite busy), the staff were attentive & remembered us from the day before, welcoming us back again. Located within walking distance from our accommodation at Quest apartments and only a short distance by car to the main shopping precint we will definitely making this a must visit on our next trip down to Victoria.
