Iron Rooster - Hunt Valley

Stopped in after a long Saturday morning and afternoon in Baltimore on the way back home to Pennsylvania to get a salad. We arrived at 2:45 p.m. to the restaurant which was not busy at all, just a smattering of people here and there. We ordered salads and it took 40- 45 minutes to get them to our table. In the meantime as we were waiting, we looked for our waitress who was nowhere to be found. Once she arrived back at our table, we asked her what was the delay? She stated that someone forgot to put the grilled chicken on the grill for one of the salads. So it took a half an hour to grill up four pieces of already cooked chicken strips? They claim they have gluten-free food, however one item and one item only on the menu was gluten free (candied bacon sticks)and good luck finding the microscopic "No Wheat" indicator. Food was mediocre service the same. We will not be coming back.

A welcoming dining spot offering alcoholic beverages and breakfast all day(until they close at 3pm M-F). Classic rock greets you outside from their speakers and is playing through the dining area. A creative menu with a few gluten free options is always a welcome sight. The restaurant was mostly empty at lunchtime (12:30 now) so there’s no waiting for a table. Jae was incredibly attentive and helped me customize my meal. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu. Great first impression.
