Went for lunch with family and husband while he was on his lunch break. Ordered very clearly a gluten free pizza. The lady taking our order seemed as though she may have been the owner or at least a manager. She repeated to me that it was gluten-free. Pizza came out, and I immediately noticed while taking a bite that it was not normal and it was in fact a regular pizza. I took it back up to the counter, while waiting the woman who was dishing out Spaghetti completely ignored me. Spaghetti fell over the plate onto the tray that she was dishing out, and she decided to take her bare hands and put the noodles back in to the plate And serve it to the customer which I witnessed. The lady who originally took my order became free so I took the pizza to her. I told her that it was not a gluten-free pizza. She immediately went to turn around to take it back to the kitchen and I said I took a bite out of it and she said that’s OK. I proceeded to say no it’s not. I have celiac disease. She came back up and said I will have it re made for you. It would be another 20 to 30 minutes. I told her I didn’t have that time as my husband was on his lunch break. I find it completely unacceptable I was expected to wait that much longer again for a mistake they made. She refunded the pizza. I did not feel any professionalism whatsoever from her. If she is the new owner she definitely needs a page from customer service as she didn’t have any. Needless to say we won’t be returning. The previous owner took allergens very serious and we never worried when eating there. Sad to see something that’s been a tradition going down hill.
