I didn't get to eat here, but I want to praise this place anyway. One of our party has celiac disease, and when we asked the host about their gluten free options, he didn't just hit us with a memorized bromide. He went and got the cook, who answered our questions in detail. And the major answer was: they were out of gluten free food and couldn't help us. The staff treated us with respect, the cook was well informed about dietary restrictions, and when it became clear they couldn't serve us, they were honest and up-front about the reasons why. We have sadly become accustomed to restaurants lying, fudging, or insulting our intelligence, so being treated with respect is refreshing. I hope to actually try their food when they have fresh supplies, because they are clearly well-informed and respectful of their customers' safety. Thank you for that.
