JOEY has been a favorite since it opened - always amazing food (celiac-friendly), drinks, service, and ambiance. We've enjoyed several impressive meals + nights there and decided to host our wedding dinner for 100 on the patio! It was a seamless process and turned out even better than we could have imagined. Guests cannot stop talking about how amazing the food and service was. Thank you to the whole team -- Madison (superstar event manager) and servers Sarah P, Tiffany, Chasta, Elizabeth, and Jordan M. The team went above and beyond for a beautiful setup, attentive service, and an awesome experience for our guests. We appreciate you all and highly recommend for your next meal or event!

I can't believe all the good reviews at this place...I got the steak and sushi. I am gluten free and react REALLY badly to gluten when exposed, they guaranteed me that the meal would come gluten free. My body doesn't lie, and as the last thing that I ate, I was in hell for the next 48 hrs after eating here being symptomatic. Second, the meal was not that great. The sushi was very average and the NY steak (we asked medium rare came back closer to well done), was SO DRY. Don't bother ordering the poke bowel expecting a poke bowl, as someone who loves poke, this was more of a salad. The tuna was basically a garnish on a heaping bowl of white rice and veggies. The Katsu chicken salad had good feedback, but nothing mind blowing. Food was okay, not worth the price that's for sure. If you're gluten free/celiac/ NCGS, to be safe, don't eat here, save yourself and go over to true foods instead. People come here for the vibes and environment. I was already warn about the service being horrible. Our waitress was actually great. BUT the food took forever to come out... Save your $$$, there are so many more great restaurants at fashion island.
