Jack Astor's Bar & Grill Argentia

First time here. We got Memphis Steak, Holly Smoked burger, and the mushroom burger. I got my burger with the gluten-friendly bun, I felt the bun was too thick and not very fresh Other than that the burger was good. The truffle fries were great. Regarding the service, overall it was good but we waited over 25 minutes for our meals and the restaurant wasn’t busy either. I’m not from Canada and comparing this place to good burger places in the US I would say this was a bit pricier than expected.

Went for my sisters birthday dinner as there are gluten free options and I have celiac. The server was friendly although seemed a bit over whelmed(?) by my questions about the food. It was a Friday night so maybe just busy. I was VERY impressed with the selection I could have given my dietary restrictions. The main course however, the au jus was thick and VERY salty. And the steak I found to be overly salty. There was 2 orders of chicken fingers and fries also at the same table as me and the chicken fingers were apparently quite salty as well. Other then the high levels of salt, everything was great. The gluten free menu selection will definitely draw me back again
