The food is great... when it is cooked right. But I shouldn't have to tell them how to cook a steak. (I would expect this from a place like Applebee's) I hate sending food back, with a passion. But if I send food back there is a problem with my food.
As a waitress if you see that someone's steak... $45+ steak isn't cooked right you shouldn't ask if they want it recooked you offer to fix the problem. 2nd when our new steak arrived it was a lower cut, more fatty and over cooked in one side and seared on the other (half the reason I don't like sending food back). But of course I won't send a steak back twice.
I don't know if the cook was having a bad day or if it was just because it was busy. But I haven't had a steak over cooked twice in a row at Jakers ever.
Most of my experiences with Jaker's over the years have been awesome. But this trip was a let down.
The highlight is that they are the only place in the area with Gluten Free Calamari that is delicious.
