Jakes at the Lake

Excellent food and excellent service. I was blown away with how fast they served our food. We rented their private room (which was free to do so) and had around 50 guests. They got all of our food out in a very timely and organized manner and not one person sent their food back. They let us come in early to decorate and even helped set everything up. We brought our own cake for the birthday party and they allowed us to put it in their fridge until it was time to bring it out. Highly recommend going to this place! They also had plenty of vegetarian options and they even have an alternative menu for people who are allergic to gluten.

I went to Jake's last Saturday after work for a bite with friends. I found out from my dinner companion that they have a separate gluten free menu. I was so surprised. I had been here many times before and never knew this. There was a great deal to choose from. I'm a fan of tuna steak. I ordered it as my main course. I think it is supposed to be an appetizer, but a glass of wine and the pepper crusted tuna on this bed of Asian style slaw, was just plenty. It looked so good when it arrived at the table, I forgot my manners and dug in. I then thought I should take a photo and show you how nice it looked, minus several pieces I already devoured. It was delicious! I want to try more from their gluten free menu when I go back, but that tuna steak will be really hard to pass up.
