On a road trip with my family we stopped for food at Jalapeños because the menu seemed great and they had a lot of gluten free options. We ordered to go and our food was ready in 15-20 minutes. The man at the counter was very nice, and this review doesn’t reflect on him or his service.
We were excited to dig in but everything was so bland and tasteless. What a disappointment to say the least. The baked sweet potato and Aztec corn tacos were made with sweet potato fries... like the frozen french fries in a taco...
The black beans were bland and tasteless, the rice was dry, bland but weirdly spicy at the same time.
The shredded chicken quesadilla didn’t have enough cheese. It tasted like leftover rotisserie chicken and all the flavor came from the sour cream.
The best thing was the Aztec corn which actually had flavor and made the tacos better.
