Jasmine Porch at The Sanctuary

We dined here to celebrate our 40th Anniversary on September 8 2024. Food and service were excellent. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because my husband was violently ill following this meal. He has Celiac and our server was informed and also assured us he would be well taken care of. He ordered the tour of the Lowcountry. The most likely gluten contaminations would be from the she crab bisque or the fried green tomatoes, both of which we were assured would be prepared gluten free. At departure the following morning we asked the attendant manning the front desk to have the restaurant manager contact us. The following day we traded phone calls with someone from security. Celiac contamination does not seem like a security issue. We simply wanted the restaurant to be aware that someone in the kitchen dropped the ball and ruined our experience and expensive meal. Still not pleased we’ve never heard from the restaurant. Bottom line - do not trust dishes here to be GF even when assured so by wait staff

Absolutely delicious! I ate here many times during my stay at The Sanctuary. The food is amazing. The entire menu can be made gluten free. This made my trip really easy. My favorite was the pancakes, baked goods, grilled cheese and soups. We can’t wait to come back!
