Jefe Urban Cocina

Visiting St. Anthony Main is like traveling to some quaint European village. We sat on the patio of Jefe to celebrate our anniversary. Great place to people watch and get a view of downtown Minneapolis. The food was delicious, of course, but the star of the meal was the dessert. I always appreciate a restaurant that offers gluten-free or friendly options other than swapping out bread on a sandwich. We each had an entree and shared the dessert - that was enough for me. Although, we had to take a secondary stop for my husband as he was still hungry.

The birria tacos are amazing!! The cocktails (spiked horchata, coco loco) are also really fun and good. My server was very knowledgeable about celiac and what items were celiac-safe. Their fryer is not gluten free, so he l brought me store-bought chips.
