Jeffrey's Cafe Co. - Mill District

Stopped in for a quick lunch and cocktail. Was so pleased with this place; the menu has a great selection. The drink menu is really fun too! Such a great atmosphere too. The gluten free bread was delicious! Everything was great, except the staff could have been more friendly. The cashier at the gift side was so cold. But, I'll be back!!

The Mediterranean chicken salad is one of my favorite salads in the entire world. They have a gluten-free option and they’re careful to make sure for celiac that it’s good of course they can’t 100% guarantee no cross contamination but they do their very best and I’ve never gotten sick.

I ordered a salad that came with bread originally on the menu. I'm celiac and asked the waitress if it was possible to not have the bread served with the salad or even just separate from the meal. I strictly said I'm celiac, and therefore gluten free by "allergy" (I'm aware it's not an allergy but it's best explained this way) not by preference. The bread was placed right on top of the salad contaminating the whole thing. The waitress then avoided our table until it was time to pay.
